This post is centric and huge towards the lenovo A6000 phone, although if you’re interested, you can read my experiences :

Being a Lenovo Phone, this phone has support for many custom ROMs out there in the market, although most of the custom ROMs are based on old / not supported android versions, such as the android Nougat and the android Oreo.
Few ROMs do support the android 10, and they’re totally worth to check out.
But as the hardware is of 2013, being one of the processors from a decently bad (hehe) (yet developing times) , lags you down on multi tasking.
There are few ROMs which are seemingly lighter, such as the cr droid.
Why is CR DROID good ?
The kernel is based on lineage os and android 10, one of the lightest ones so performance = op.
The launcher offers many customizations yet very similar to that of AOSP extended, Havoc OS or any other custom rom, namely the
- Accent Color
- Icon Shape
- Font
- Wallpaper
- Clock
- Status Bar Customizations (19 sub categories)
- Lockscreen (11 of em)
- INCLUDES AN OPTION TO CHANGE CHARGING ANIMATIONNNNNNN
- Navigation (3 of em)
- Buttons (hard) (18 of em)
- User Interface (5 of em)
- Notification (7 of em)
- Sound (7 of em)
- Miscellaneous (13 of em)
- INCLUDES CHARGING LIMITER – for the night charging peeps
- Gaming mode
- Hide apps from recents
- CPU
- NOT A FEATURE – but provides links to all cr droid official websites and allows users to update from the settings.
If youre looking forward for android 11, I would suggest you to also take a look at the Lineage OS 18.1, the only custom ROM with Android 11 GO.
Why is Lineage OS good ?
Custom ROM enthusiasts defo have tried Lineage OS at least once, Its developed from Cyanogen Mod, the OG Custom ROM, Lineage OS is known for its performance and the smoothness of the interface while keeping the customizations untouched and completely tweakable. The features are quite similar to that of CR Droid, just missing the “Hide apps from recents” and the “pre included fonts”, though you have the same system font changer. But yes, “To gain something you have to lose something” The lineage os has a better and newer security build.
Both the OS’s have a community in common, and I appreciate the owner of the community (telegram admin) for creating one such community with active links and developers. Though the xda being having more custom roms/kernels/etc, most of the links are expired, telegram channel however maintains active links and file sources.
Finally the expected yet failed rom (my view) ? AOSP Extended or the AEX.
The AOSP extended is designed to be and usually light, smooth and bug-free (laughing internally). But the AOSP extended version for lenovo A6000 (now discontinued, but I still have the old file ), based on android 8 isn’t a good hit at all, buggy and definitely an enemy for the poor lenovo A6000’s battery life.
Conclusion
The CR DROID is the clear winner for me. Lineage os however has the newer android and security build.
Had a great experience trying different ROMs for Lenovo A6000, 7 ROMs and all of em were fun to use and test. Sorry about not trying the benchmarks, struck my mind after flashing 5 of em. Always open for corrections and suggestions at Gmail and comments section given below
